I love giraffes... and I also love knitting. This is my illustration titled "Cozy Holiday Wishes". I'm hoping to make prints of it soon to sell on etsy.com as a greeting card. :)
Hey, I found your blog through Illustration Friday. Great style! It must take forever to color with colored pencil, but you do a great job getting vivid color and detail. It's cool that you're in PA, I have a lot of connections in PA. My fiance is from Harrisburg and I went to college in Edinboro so I travel there often. I suppose that's the end of my ramble! Keep up the good work! haha
Thanks!! Using colored pencils for illustrations does take quite a bit of time, and there's a lot of sharpening & breaking of pencils involved!, but I absolutely love drawing with colored pencils and can't imagine ever using another medium for my work. ;) I really appreciate your kind words.
(Also, you should link to your shop somewhere (unless you don't have one yet?)! Etsy even provides a little widget called the "Etsy Mini" specifically for linking at your blog.) :)
Thank you everyone! I love the great feedback! And thanks Cindy D! The teeny birds with the hats were making me laugh while drawing them...! I will definitely put a link to my etsy shop once I post everything! I am hoping to have it up and running next week, with prints, mugs, greeting cards, and my knits. :)
Fantastic! This one really grabbed my attention. I love the eye on the giraffe and how the snowman looks just a little different than your average snowman. My 2 year old daughter loves giraffes and she loved this picture as well.
I always look for cartoon, in the daily paper I always look for cartoon then news. Your work is attracted me. I will look forward for your next posting.
Oh how cute!
