Scooped from the Sea
I created this illustration for Illustration Friday.com - word of the week "Scoop". I pictured a cat chasing a rat on a boat dock... falling into the water and being scooped out of the sea by a friendly octopus! A little out there but I enjoy drawing people and animals in situations you don't typically see. The animals were drawn by hand with colored pencils and I created the background and water digitally. Hoping it gives everyone a good chuckle. It was a lot of fun creating this illustration.

Launched Etsy shop!
I haven't used my blog in a while but I'm back! And I am excited to announce - I finally opened an ETSY SHOP! Our shop is named Zinnia Jane, after my daughter. My mother, Jane Boyle Hallman, is also a freelance illustrator and we are both selling prints and greeting cards of our artwork. More items next week! Check it out!
